Importance to Co-curricular Activities
The KLE Society School recognizes the importance of a well rounded education that extends beyond the classroom. Students at the school are therefore encouraged to pursue a wide range of intellectual, sporting and social activities. They participate in various inter-school activities such as debates, science exhibitions, creative writing and the arts. This encourages the spirit of healthy competition among the students.

During and after school, the KLE School welcomes opportunities for learning beyond the classroom and school premises. The aim is to expose students to a broad range of new experiences and help them to develop a curiosity and interest in their community.
Activities within the school will be offered through a range of Clubs, co-curricular studies, House competitions, and school-wide or community events. The main objective is to provide opportunities for students to interact with their peers; learn new skills; experience leadership; and, extend their knowledge, fitness and confidence.
The various activities and clubs are:
- House competitions and activity days
- Sports events
- Arts and Crafts Club
- Leisure sports and games (age-appropriate)
- Debating and Environment Clubs
- School-Wide special events and community celebrations
- Games/Computer Club
- Book Club
- Charitable causes in the community
- Inter- School events for older students
The KLE Society School conducts multifarious Co-curricular activities which are informative and colorful. The students are divided into 4 Houses to enable participation in co-curricular activities. This develops and improves healthy and competitive spirit among the students and also enables them to actively involve themselves in maintaining discipline, conducting the assembly, developing the academic activities etc.
Various competitions such as Debates, Recitations, singing, Solo dance, Fancy Dress, Quiz Bee, Collage Making, Drawing and Coloring are conducted throughout the year to provide a platform for the students to exhibit their skills and talent.
The school also celebrates National festivals, all religious and regional festivals, Science Day and Book Week to imbibe patriotism, culture and scientific temper in the students.
The school also conducts an inter school quiz and other cultural and sports competitions which brings together children from various other schools to showcase their skills and also build values of healthy competition.
The Annual Day is a grand affair at the KLE Society School. Once in every two years, the entire school comes together to put up a great spectacle with mesmerizing performances by the students to enthrall the audience. The theme based annual day is a joint effort by the students, faculty and choreographers called in specifically train the students for this mega event!
Music elevates human thought and mind to higher levels of spiritual and divine pursuits. An ear for music is sure to create a balanced personality that duly understands the rhythms of life. At the KLE Society School, music is an important part of the curriculum which allows the students to develop their academic skills along with learning to appreciate music in all various forms to enrich the mind and soul.
Keeping this in mind, the school has made it compulsory for students from grade 7 and 8 to play one instrument compulsorily and also participate in the school band.
The school also believes that all work and no play makes any student dull and hence organizes field trips to various places in and around the city for a fun day out for the students. The students from grade 4 to grade 10 visit places that are known for adventure activities such as Rappelling, valley crossing and much more at famous destinations such as Ramnagara, Savandurga.
The younger ones are not left behind either with trips being organized to Fun world, Innovative Film City for students from grade 1 to grade 3.
Sports is an integral part of the curriculum at KLE society school and every student is encouraged to pursue and hone their skills in one or more of the sporting facilities the school has to offer.
Table Tennis, Cricket, Basket Ball, Swimming, Karate are some of the sports that are included in the syllabus itself with emphasis on fitness and team building values among other important aspects.
Under the supervision and coaching of nationally trained coaches, every student is assured of dedicated and superlative guidance to help them excel in each and every sport.
The school has joined hands with TENVIC Sports Education Pvt. Ltd (A Division of Anil Kumble Sports Promotion) for training the students in games like Cricket, Basketball, Table Tennis and Chess for students from Grade 4 onwards.
LeapStart, India’s premiere Sports & PE program, offers complete sport and fitness solutions for children from Kindergarten to Grade 12. It is a unique program designed with activities that are inclusive, highly active, integrate academics and wellness concepts and are fun for all the students. The LeapStart curriculum offers students opportunities to learn, practice and master a wide range of diverse skills and activities appropriate for children. LeapStart’s field-tested units can be implemented realistically in a variety of school settings, including those with limited space, equipment and supplies. LeapStart is the only program in India that has published over 45 academic papers to back its assertions. Leap Start classes are for Gr 1 to Gr 3.
The educational institute also offers after school sporting activities such as Kho Kho, Kabbadi, Skating, Cricket, Chess, Badminton and Swimming to promote the healthy habit of playing sports and improving overall health in all the students.
The school boasts of a 2 acre ground and a 6 lane swimming pool for the students to participate in group and individual sporting activities.
Recognizing the importance of Yoga as an essential means of elevating ones health and overall fitness, it has been made compulsory for all the students from grades 1st– 4th .
Archery is another sport the school plans to accommodate in their sprawling campus soon.
